"My name is Jo Kent and until the Summer of 07 I have always had very long boring blonde hair. I was never overly happy with the style of it because no hairdresser had ever 'got' my hair. So whilst visiting family in Portugal last year I went to my Mum's wizard hairdresser and got it all cut off! It looked fabulous and he gave me a cut that suited my hair type and it was so easy to manage and it nearly always looked great, even when I did! Then I had the problem of finding a hairdresser in the UK to copy what the fabulous Raul had created! Well that is where the story beings with 121! I tried so many different salons and no-one could make it look as good as he did and I was never happy with the results and I was starting to think I was going to have to grow it again. Basically, every time I needed it cut I used to tie it in with a trip back home to Raul!

Anyway, whilst out walking my dog early this year, I bumped into a fellow dog walker called Steve and he said that he was having an opening do for his new salon at Taw Hill, just 2 minutes away from my house! Well I was so excited so I booked my appointment, with some trepidation I can tell you! However, I was amazed! the salon is a godsend to people like me with hair that has a life of its own! The girls in there (and Luke of course) are brilliant. There is no intimidation when you walk in, you automatically feel at ease and feel looked after. They talk to you seriously about your hair type and don't patronise you. They let you know if you won't suit a style and they always accommodate me, even when I do last minute bookings, (which I'm nearly always doing!) Sarah the Manageress is fabulous and has given me confidence back in UK hairdressing. The team are also wonderful and talented. In some ways I wish it could remain a secret to the Taw Hill community, but when they are this good, we need to be shouting about them from the rooftops, which I do!

"I came into the salon last night for a cut and blow dry, I haven't been to the salon before I was impressed when I walked in to find a stylish setting with cutting edge design that was modern but welcoming! I was greeted by lauren my stylist who offered me a drink (a friendly welcome that not all salons offer!) Lauren was professional, courteous and friendly, she is a credit to the team. My hair cut is fantastic, she blow dried and styled it for me, it looks great! The head massage as she washed my hair was a welcome bonus too! Thanks and well done to Lauren, a new member of the team who holds her own!"
